I completely agree about this feature. If Alex takes care of the AXIS/SOAP part it would help a lot!

I suggest several features

1. a working search module..... it is damn to complex.... I cannot immagine myself teaching how to search to some poeple at the office... they don't even know how to handle a copymachine let alone xinco

2. linking files in multiple folders.

3. multiple file attibute editor

4. log report of multiple upload/download... when it stops there is no way you can see which ones have been uploaded and which ones not

5. conside also to have a faster system as i often suffer from file
corruption during upload when uploading multiple files.

I hope that xinco improves as it looks the only system I'm allowed to use at the moment and it is making my life miserable.

about 5: try to optimize Java memory settings for your purpose. You can give more memory to the server by configuring Tomcat or to the client by configuring the client's JNLP file.

Instead of complaining, feel free to contribute improvements to xinco DMS because this is a community project and everybody involved has invested a lot of private time to make the current features possible!
